How to Create Your Own Online Business

I quit my 9-5 job back in 2007 to create my own online business. I couldn’t stand it anymore…the daily grind, the office politics. Going to the same building every single day and wondering whether I’d be stuck in that room for the next 30 years. I hated that I was spending the bulk of my days working my ass of to make someone ELSE money. I hated that no matter how good an employee I was, no job is ever secure and I could be let go at any time.

Most of all, I despised the fact that I was spending 5 out of every 7 days doing something I absolutely hated. Seriously…I just couldn’t stand it anymore. I had spent three years researching and trying to find out how to create my own online business so I could quit my job.

I ended up selling on Ebay for 8 years and I was fairly successful at that. It got me started at being my own boss, setting my own hours, managing my income taxes, having the self discipline to work for myself…all the stuff that comes with starting a business from home. But doing Ebay was hard. I was working way too many hours.

Then, in 2015, I got training to become an affiliate marketer and I’ve been doing that ever since. I now have several websites that earn money, I recently started two YouTube channels to go with those websites, and I’m absolutely loving what I do every day. I get to promote products and services having to do with topics I’m actually passionate about, and that makes my job fun. Yep, that’s what I said…my job is actually FUN.
