How to Work from Home Permanently - Here's How I Did It!

Whether or not your current job is something you can or want to do from home, you can decide to work from home permanently. This is a decision I made over a decade ago. I worked in offices for 22 years, then, in 2008, I quit my J.O.B. and started my own online business. I’ve been working from home ever since, and I personally love it. Let me tell you some of the reasons why – and then I’ll tell you how I did it.

Reasons I Love Working from Home

I could probably list more than a 100 reasons, right off the top of my head, why I love working from home. But the biggest reasons are these:

I’m my own boss
I set my own hours
My income earning potential has no limit
I get to work on something I love
The tax benefits are huge
I love working at home in my pajamas
I don’t have to set an alarm
I don’t have a commute to work
I sit on the couch, overlooking my gorgeous patio, with my laptop
I don’t have to put up with any crap from a boss or co-workers LOL

How I Started Working from Home

My first venture to work from home online was an Ebay business I started in 2008. I did Ebay for several years, and was fairly successful at it. But after a while, as my business grew, the workload became too much. I was doing shipping six days a week, seven days a week during the holiday season. I could never take a day off and I was often still working well into the evenings.

So I got online to find other ways I could make money from home and I discovered affiliate marketing. Unfortunately, I ended up getting scammed by an affiliate marketing course that didn’t pan out at all, so I actually gave up my first time out. But then, in 2015, I started thinking about affiliate marketing again. The Ebay thing was really getting old, yet I really wanted to continue working from home online. So I searched again for an affiliate marketing training course. This time, thankfully, I found a company called Wealthy Affiliate.

How I Learned to Do Affiliate Marketing

Wealthy Affiliate is a company who teaches people, in step-by-step videos, how to do affiliate marketing. If you don’t know what affiliate marketing is, it’s basically a business where you have websites that make money.

You choose a topic, create a website, create content (articles, blog posts or videos) all about that topic. And you sign up to be an affiliate for products and services having to do with that topic and promote those products and services within your content and get a commission whenever anyone purchases the product. Working from Home Permanently
